Johnathan “Joobie” Nation
Johnathan “Joobie” Nation is an Atlanta, GA native known for his innovative contributions to the music world. The man of many titles ( musician, producer, music director, arranger, teacher, etc) got his start at the age of two in his grandfather’s church, where he was taught to read and play music by ear. Throughout his childhood, Johnathan learned to play several instruments, including: piano, organ, bass guitar, drums, saxophone, and tuba. Johnathan truly believed in what his family taught him: If you put GOD first there’s no limit to what you can accomplish.
Upon finishing high school in 2015, Johnathan accepted a scholarship to his dream school, Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. During that time Johnathan was able to learn key things to better help perfect his craft. In his learning he also got the opportunity to meet, perform, and network with some of the music industry's most successful artists, such as: Keke Wyatt, Beverly Crawford, Jekalyn Carr, Kim Burrell, Jill Scott, Usher, Kierra Sheard, and more.
Johnathan currently resides back home in Atlanta where he has been serving as the Music Director of the Victory City Church since 2017, under the leadership of Bishop Marc L. House. It has been under Bishop House’s leadership that Johnathan learned the true meaning of what it is to have a relationship with God and truly understand GOD’s word. One scripture he lives his life by is 1 Peter 5:6-7, “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” Living by this scripture is what allowed Johnathan to establish Joobie Nation Chronicles Enterprises LLC, in 2021; a full-service music production and video editing company that specializes in all areas of music, social media, film, television, and more.
Johnathan strives to impact the world through his gifts and talents. So much so, he penned the motto for JNC as “TEACHING THE FUTURE, SAVING THE SOUND”. He’s truly grateful for everything and everyone in his life. His prayer is that he makes his family, his church, but most of all, GOD, proud of his works.
